The Historic Center of Bogotá is known as La Candelaria and still preserves the memory of a small town. Its narrow streets, its Colonial houses hosted the Spanish and Creole aristocracy. There are 2 FREE walking tours around "La Candelaria" at 10 a.m. and at 2 p.m, these tours start at the tourist information point located in a corner of the Bolivar Plaza (calle 10 and carrera 8) tours in English on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2 p.m.
Monserrate Mountain: This hill is the insignia of the colombian capital, located at 3,152 meters above sea level. It is a sanctuary that surprises everybody with the most spectacular view of Bogotá.

From Bogota you can visit all the destinations in Colombia either by land or by air. From the main bus terminal Salitre you can take any of this bus companies: Expreso Bolivariano, Berlinas,expreso Brasilia etc.
The airline companies are Avianca, Viva colombia, Copa , Jet blue, Spirit airlines, United airlines and more.

Please refrain from taking their suggestion, the location they may take you could be questionable and it is generally a hotel/hostel where they receive a commission.
